Corporate Identity

Creating custom designed logos tailored to each company's brand distinction, values and culture.

Why is a logo important?

Your business is recognised by its logo, telling the viewer a brief story about your product, service or company. Your logo design is tailored to your brand’s distinction, values and culture. Over the years I have created a few steps to follow to ensure that your logo design is a success. But first I need to explain the difference between logo design and corporate identity. Your logo is a symbol that people remember your business by, but this is not where it ends. Having a logo is the first step in creating a brand.
Corporate identity is the part where we ensure that your company has a uniformed look throughout your printed and digital marketing materials, as well as on social media platforms. It also sets guidelines to employees as well as designers as to which colours, typefaces and layout styles they may use. This ensures that you don’t have sparkly butterfly email signatures within your business. The company’s brand needs an effective strategy to appeal to your target market. Your brand is ultimately determined by your clients, your marketing strategy and your logo. The feeling a client experiences while dealing with your business is very important, an emotional bond is created when they share your company’s values and vision.

The Benefits of a good old rebrand

Every industry experiences changes in trends and style. All brands need to consider updating and redesigning their logo.
By rebranding through redesigning your logo you are essentially rebranding your business. Updating your logo can say a lot about your company that your old logo wasn’t able to. I will work with you to maintain the traditions and values you and your customers have become accustomed to.

My Design Process

To create the right logo for your business I need to understand the look and feel you would like to achieve as well as what your business stands for. This will determine whether or not we use a standalone symbol, wordmark or combination of a symbol and typeface.

1 – Logo Research

The first step in the design process would be to collect some samples of logo design styles that you might like, as well as logos that are a no-go.

2 – The Keyword

The second step would be to supply a few key words to summarise what your business stands for, this will help to identify concepts that will inspire the logo design.

3 – Start the Sketches

I will start sketching designs that are based on our logo and keyword research.

4 – The Proof

You will receive 3 logo design proofs in black and white. Once you’ve reviewed your logo design proof I will tailor the design according to your feedback.

5 – Colours

After you have selected your favourite logo, we carefully think about the message your brand wants to communicate. This is where the keywords come to play, we then select the right colours aligned with those emotions and values.

6 – The Finish Line

I will work with you to ensure all of your needs are met and that the final logo is a true reflection of all your brand strives to represent.
