Your wedding day is the most special day of your life and shouldn’t be a photoshoot. You should have plenty of time to mingle, to hug friends and family and drink some champagne.
That is what I aim to do on your wedding day, keeping each photo as natural and as pose free as possible. There are plenty of special moments on your wedding day and those are the moments I would like to capture. When it comes to the portraits, take a breath, this is your “alone time”.
I’m just there to document the love, the private jokes, crazy faces and a stolen kiss while walking down the path.
Keep moving so that I can learn how you and your partner interact, this is how we get those relaxed candid couple shots. Each wedding is different and I try and tell each story in a way that’ll suit the couple, their family and the crazy friends. Editing the photos is done in the same way and will be adjusted in a way to tell the story the best.
Your wedding day shouldn’t be a photoshoot. At least in my opinion. You should have plenty of time to mingle, to hug your friends, sip champagne, take shots of whiskey, whatever! You should also manage to take a few really great photos in the process but it should be a painless experience. That is what I aim to do on your wedding day.
When it comes to those portraits, some couples need lots of direction, some need less. It’s all a matter of feeling it out and working with you. I want to keep you moving so I can learn how you and your partner interact. This is how I get those candid looking shots.
There is nothing that makes me feel fuzzier inside; that is more rewarding than having the responsibility of documenting an incredible day in a couples’ life. Documenting that connection between two humans.
While I may sound like the most serious person in the Garden Route, rest assured I am super laid back, with a relaxed philosophy.
You be you. I’ll be me. Let’s make some jokes, some might be awkward and have fun.
I have found over the years that the best images will come when you just let go and be yourself. Ha ha ha Easier said than done right? Shake those shoulders, loosen your hips, be crazy, be intimate just be you and the images will reflect who you truly are.
