I’m not one to blab about myself, but for us to really connect, it’s really important that we get to know each other.
Right out of high school, I enrolled at the University of Technology to study Graphic Design. I didn’t really know what I was getting into but I knew it was going to be an creative adventure and the chance of me doing a repetitive job would be non-existent. I found my love for photography during my 3rd year of studies, where we has to build our own camera out of a A4 paper box, my mind was sort of blown. I bought my first camera (a Pentax, film camera) while study-ing with some money my grandfather left me when he passed. The thrill of telling stories got a hold of me and I started shooting family members and randoms on the street. Through the years I have done a variety of photography projects. Being someone with a personality that gets bored easily, I have found my three different areas in photography I absolutely love; food, interiors and people documenting the most amazing moments in their lives. Together with photography I also keep myself busy with website design where I can completely let the geek out. There is nothing that makes me feel more fuzzy inside; that is more rewarding than having the responsibility of documenting an incredible day in a couples life. Documenting that connection between two humans. While I may sound like the most serious person in the Garden Route, rest assured I am super laid back, with a relaxed philosophy. You be you. I’ll be me. Let's make some jokes, some might be awkward and have fun. I have found over the years that the best images will come when you just let go and be yourself. Ha ha ha Easier said than done right? Shake those shoulders, loosen your hips, be crazy, be intimate just be you and the images will reflect who you truly are. I live in Plettenberg Bay with my husband Stuart, our two furry children along with our new additions, sunny and scramble the chickens. Yes I do travel wherever needed to capture your day. Enough about me, I want to hear about you. I want to hear your story.
Let's get talkin over a cup of coffee or send me a mail.
